    That's what it costs an uninsured white male to have a detatched retina glued back into place in Southern Pines. I just went to get them to wash out what I thought was trash in my eye. Nope. Emergency surgery. The Doctor said had I waited a few more days it was very possible I could have lost that eye. That was scary. I had no idea what I was walking into yesterday. Today he said everything looked great. To me it's like looking through a clear glass of water...and it hurts. Getting old sux.

    Glad you caught it in time. How'd it happen?
    There're some very fine and very expensive eye doctors in Southern Pines.

    I have no idea. He said it was probably age. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary that I know of.

    This is the scary part. Seems like you would need some sort of trauma to "detach" something.

    you sure you didn't get knocked up side the head?
