David Booker (6-7, 200) from Moss Point, MS committed to Charlotte this afternoon. The state Gatorade POY, he had 14 points and 6 rebounds for Mississippi in the Alabama-Mississippi HS all-star game last night. Booker averaged 28 points and 10 rebounds for his 22-9 team, which lost in the state semi-finals. Booker averaged 37.8 points in the final four games of his high school career.

Booker's final 3 choices were Connecticut, Northwestern and the 49ers. He joins Ian Andersen (SG, 6-4, 180) of Portland, OR, Charles Dewhurst (SF, 6-5, 175) of Charlotte, NC, Sean Phaler (PF, 6-9, 195) of Anaheim Hills, CA, An'Juan Wilderness (SF, 6-6, 210) of Dunwoody, GA and Carlos Williams (PG, 6-1, 185) of Louisville, KY. Cameron Tatum (SG, 6-5, 190) from Tucker, GA has also verbally committed and is awaiting SAT scores. Georgia's scores are being reviewed and will possibly be thrown out by the Scholastic Board and he may need to retake the test.

    WELCOME TO CHARLOTTE!

Looks like a great recruiting class for Lutz and the 49ers.They already have a head start for the following year with verbal commitments from Beasley and Harmon.

Carlos Williams is the point guard you are asking about. He's rated as the #7 JUCO in the country. Averaged 10 points and 5 assists in only 10 minutes per game for Wabash CC, the same school Coleman and Jamison come from.

I guess the PA will announce our starting lineup as Goldwire, Alexander and Wabash Valley. I can't wait.
