Couldn't we have just stayed here and scrimmaged Independence, Garinger and West Meck and probably got the same result?

Withers almost had a triple-double, the offense must finally be running through him. Thank God or Bobby or whoever decided this.

We still like to throw up that 3-ball at every opportunity. That's nice.

Looks like the newbies played solid ball. Lewis and Goldwire didn't turn the ball over, Nance rebounded and Drayton went off.

    Could be a good year.

Lutz rates Niners good in exhibition, Charlotte Observer

    Cirtis Withers - 24 points, 11 rebs, 7 assists
    Brendan Plavich - 24 points, 8 of 12 3-pt FGs
E.J. Drayton - 18 points, 7 rebs, coming off the bench
    Martin Iti - 16 points, 8 of 10 FTs, 16 rebs
    Chris Sager - 7 points
Leemire Goldwire - 7 points as starting point
    Eddie Basden - 6 points, 8 rebs, 4 steals
Chris Nance, 5 points, 8 rebounds in 17 minutes
    Jerrell Lewis - 3 points, 3 assists

Not a bad opener for a visiit over the north border. Let's hope they remain healthy and continue to improve.

Probably, but the extra few weeks of practice should make it worth it.

Barry said, "Could be a good year." If you know Barry like I do, then you know we're going deep. He doesn't see the glass half-empty, he sees it half-empty with a frigging crack at the bottom. :laugh1:

Het Hoot, :bird3: . I'd like to think of myself as a realist. :xyzthumbs

Most people should never bet on their favorite team because the distance between their wallet and their heart always seems to be a shorter distance than it should be.

Seriously, I don't want to hear any excuses from the niner fans this year. We have 4 returning starters from a team that made it to the big dance. I also think Mitch will add some much needed athleticism to the team. If we run the offense through Withers and the newbies can play just a little, anything short of the sweet 16 will put me into a deep state of depression. :suicide:

Yes, you are a pragmatist. Two words for a run in the tournament- STAY HEALTHY.

First game is a Friday I think, sounds like potential for a drunken poker game.

Have you bought the new Shaq Fu album yet?
