Darin Spease an assistant athletic director and occasional poster on the other board, is having serious health problems with his 3 year old son. He is experiencing seizures now on a regular basis. Some of you know this, but most of you probably do not. The boy is currently in the hospital and everyone needs to wish the best for this kid and the family. I am sure watching a 3 year old have a seizure is extremely scary for a mother and father. Apparently it is a mystery and they need to find the cause of these attacks. Be thinking of them this week.

Damn. He'll be in my prayers.

I couldn't imagine having to go through that.

Seizures are rough at any age, but when the person can't really describe what is going on because of young age, it's even worse.

    Hang in there, Spease family.

anyone see that story on Primetime (NBC) last night? the director of "Airplane" and other comedy movies has a kid with epilepsy and they could not stop the seizures, so they tried this all fat diet and it is working for 50-75% of kids who try it, and it worked for them. Maybe that is an option for the Spease's. The kids eat nothing but saturated fat, and it does something unknown to the brain. Nothing but fries, bacon, cheese, etc. It completely stops the seizures. The worst part about this is that doctors arent' recommending it because it doesn't sell any drugs, according to the report.

Perhaps, the family would rather you not discuss their personal matters on a message board. Ever thought of that?
