Jeff Owens was my homer pick, but he fit, and we seem to go Bulldawg at least once every year anyway so it made some sense.

From WalterFootball.com 6 round draft. Wouldn't be unhappy at all. At least it looks like he did enough research to actually understand our team needs.

    48) Mardy Gilyard, WR/KR, Cincinnati

Steve Smith recently stated that he would love to have another fast receiver to complement him on offense. Ask, and you shall receive. Mardy Gilyard, as seen in the Senior Bowl, is a deep-play threat, and he would satisfy two huge areas of need for the Panthers: No. 2 wideout and return specialist.

    78) Lamarr Houston, DT, Texas

Outside of Julius Peppers, no one on Carolina had more than five sacks. The Panthers really need help on the interior of their defensive line, especially with the losses of Ma'ake Keomeatu and Damione Lewis.

    112) Ed Wang, OT, Virginia Tech

Offensive line depth was a huge issue for the Panthers this past season. If they have another injury, they need to make sure they have someone to keep Travelle Wharton from moving over to left tackle.

    175) Dan LeFevour, QB, Central Michigan

The Panthers will probably be searching for a late-round quarterback as a developmental project behind Matt Moore.

    202) Willie Young, DE, N.C. State

The Panthers will need a contingency plan just in case Everette Brown doesn't work out.

    204) T.J. Ward, SS, Oregon

Like many NFL teams, the Panthers need to bolster their secondary depth - especially in a division with Drew Brees and Matt Ryan.
