My girl's dad her got a 37in Samsung LCD for Christmas. It looks great. Almost too bright.

Still doesn't look as good as my Toshiba tube, though.

    took the Sumsung 4661 back...

got the 52" Sony Bravia W3000

since I had a sound issue with the Samsung, and they didn't have any left and wasn't getting any more any time soon, they gave me this one for $1,900

it took some negotiating, but it's a deal...

What was your sound issue? Other than that did you like it? My 4665 should be arriving this Monday or Tuesday.

when I first turned it on, for about 3-4 minutes there was this static and then it faded... I tried different ports & cables but all the same...

they put it out for open box the next day, they said they tested it and it was fine... I planned on running the sound through the stereo, but I wanted a little bigger tv anyway... it can be yours for $1,639 at hhgregg exit 18

the Samsung was a beautiful tv, the 4665 I didn't like as much as the 4661 because of the glossy screen... I'm hate glare and my room has a lot of windows, but some say it's not as bad as the plasmas... anyway, that's why I didn't get the 52" Samsung, it only comes in the glossy screen... and why I went with the Sony.

You gonna really really like that TV. I just got one myself. It does have a glossier screen, but I just close the blinds and that takes care of that.

    Enjoy!!

I hear those LED's are nice... :hihi:

actually that 61" Samsung is gorgeous... breathtaking picture

is that one of those 120Hz? I think if your going to get the Samsung LCD's, the 120Hz is a good thing... with the Sony's, it's doesn't seem as big a deal

Picture is great. Its pretty much a regular DLP, but uses the LED lights with the mirror instead. It has a shelf life of like 20 years as opposed to the 3-4 years for the regular bulb, and yes it is the 120Hz.

I think the whole glossy screen thing is way overblown. I can't see any difference and the only way I can notice it is by touch.

i thought LED was a typo for LCD... my bad

well then that's good if you can't notice the glossy screen because it has a noticeably sharper picture
