When I use it to call in to conference calls people at the other end always ask if I'm on my iPhone becuase of the feedback and overall poor quality of the sound.

No. When my boss installed it all his contacts were erased and it wouldn't charge anymore so I haven't upgraded.

It's cool as a casual use phone and web browser but not a great phone for heavy duty use.

I finally decided to upgrade to 2.1...uggghhhh

Now my battery last maybe half of what it did.

I get voicemails 2 hours later when the phone never rang. This has happened 6 times since I upgraded. I've been told by the callers that it went straight to VM.

I get texts anywhere from an hour to 12+ hours after they were sent. I've had someone send me texts yesterday afternoon and this morning. I've yet to receive them. They send fine though.

My display freaks out and flickers for a few seconds now too.

It no longer will connect to my exchange email despite the settings appearing to be identical to the way they were

Anybody else having problems after upgrading the software?

I got 6 hours of charge before it completely died overnight without even being touched. :(

surprised they didn't do this, but I guess them dropping the prices did make that additional technology unnecessary to create hype. Which is what high end stuff like that creates.

I dunno. I'm not unhappy with how I played it - SERO Sprint deal was cheaper than my existing flip phone plan last year, pulled the palm with it for cheaper than any of this, and though touch and iphone prices have come down , I wasn't waiting another six months for a touch (which I got a steal on anyway). Between the two I have anything I'd possibly need within reason for a few years without an overbearingly expensive data plan or being locked into a phone contract for two years with a carrier I'd prefer not to be with. Plus the wife wanted an iphone if I got one too, and that's a lot of upfront cost for toys.

The only downside is I have two devices for the same thing (and the Touch doesn't have a constant connection), but that's rarely a big deal.

I'm guessing I have bad hardwear. I think it's continuously trying to transmit something and not receiving properly.
