5th and youngest player to score 30,000 points. Respect his ability, still think he's an arrogant rapist. Mike and Mike were talking is he one of the best 5 players ever. I don't so as in my mind these players are better (in no particular order
    • Jordan
    • Bill Russell
    • Wilt
    • Oscar Robertson
    • Magic
Then you have to decide is he better than Bird, Dr J, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor.

Kobe isn't even remotely close to being one of the top 5 players ever and probably isn't one of the top 25 players ever. People grossly overvalue points. The reality is that Kobe's career shooting percentage of .454 is barely above average for a guard. He's also in the top 10 all-time for turnovers (only Karl Malone, Moses Malone, Bryant, and Olajuwon are top ten in both points and TOs). Even his "clutch" performance is grotesquely overrated, as various studies have shown that statistically Kobe is only a little above average in those situations, he's just such a ball-hog that he takes a ton and people remember the ones he makes.

hard to compare guys from different eras who played different positions... easily a top 3 shooting guard. probably a top 10 player overall. longevity and rings have to count for something otherwise we'd put lebron james at the top of the list already.

Hell I left off Kareem. These list are so subjective. Rings or no, different positions, different era...

You couldn't go wrong with any of them

You would go wrong with Kobe. He might be the most overrated player in history.
