why is it that teams shoot 3s so well against us? Macnamara from Cuse had 10 himself the 2nd half, Bama had 10 last night, and this has plagued us for several years. I am not a great hoops strategist so I would like someone who is to explain the logic of this. Do we just now fight thru screens or switch to cover the perimeter? I also think alot of times our short gaurds can be shot on easliy (due to no wingspan). Does Lutz pack in our defense too much and dare the opposition to shoot 3's?

Because Demon and Plavich are dead slow and we run too many junk defenses.

I know in the past that Lutz, against poor statistical shooters has wanted them to shoot, and for whatever reason they have hit shots against us at a much higher than their normal percentage and it has backfired. That goes for select players on certain teams, not all 3-pt shooters, much like teams leave Eddie, Butter and Mitchell open for that same shot, they just never make a team pay for it. That was also when our interior was not what it could be this year. So that strategy may change.

    Lutz

I think Lutz need to realize that these guards shoot bad against defense and not dare anyone to shoot.

We stole the Southern Illinois game last year. I remember the Salukis going 2 for 20 in the first half, and at least 15 were wide ass open.

I remember one point where Basden didn't even challenge Shelton shooting the 3...I'd make him run laps...

to date, we have 53 threes
    our opponents have 52!
if we avg 8.6 threes against us every night, we wont win 15 games.

    Metro:
Last year we made 231 and gave up 228. We shot 33% from that range and the oposition shot 38%.
We have to improve or your point is dead on last year's ugly fact.
