    Somebody asked Ed Tapscott his favorite. He said "Flying Dragon Cats." I thought that was funny. Sounds like something from a Monty Python skit.

    Is there no creativity among the forces? All the names absolutely suck! Goes to show that along with the dilution of the talent that goes with expansion, so does originality in team names. :D

    And just to prove my theory, here are my ideas. Rip em as you wish.

    1- Charlotte Mint (coincides with banking center, can serve mint julips to the wine and cheesers)
    2- Charlotte Lynx (representative of the many golf courses in the state, as well as the feline touch for all those pussy supporters)
    3- Charlotte Boars (BBQ Capital of the Free World)
    4- Charlotte Express (after the former Piedmont Airlines)
    5- Charlotte Speed (NASCAR influence)
    6- Charlotte Teans (pronounced Charlotteans)
    7- Charlotte (no nickname needed)
    8- Charlotte Regulators (from the movie Young Guns)

    No offense man, but all of those are lame IMO. :D

    I've always thought the Charlotte Venom was really cool. We could have Spiderman mascot and "Charlotte Web" theme and so on. Seeing webs all over da arena would rock too. Oh well, ain't happenen. :(

    How about FUNK CITY BALLERZ . . . You know that George Clinton is from Kannapolis, right (founder of Parliment/Funkadelic) ? Have the mothership land on the court during player introductions (while the band is playing MOTHERSHIP CONNECTION live to jack up the crowd :thumbup: !!!!!) . . They could also have P-Funk playing during the game (a la Redskin Marching Band) . . I'll tell you, that would be off the hook :D :D !!!!!!!!!
