3 New Bowl Games

    The New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, International Bowl in Toronto and one other bowl. The last thing we need is more bowls. They're going to have to take teams that finish 5-6 if they add 6 more bowl teams.

    More bowl games? God, they ought to kill 50% of the ones they already have and not add new ones. 6-5 teams should be done for the season not getting bowl invites...

    As long as there still is a corporation willing to invest to get its name on a bowl game, they'll continue. It all come down to the cash over the quality.

    More football is always good

    Not everybody can be Texas and Southern Cal. Let some extra teams have another game. It certainly doesn't affect the competitive balance, it doesn't affect the Bowl Crap Series and it might give UNC-Charlotte some incentive to get a football team :)

    To have a bowl game in Toronto is just stupid. That's like having the College Hockey playoffs in Georgia. No one cares up there and so help me God if UNC is playing Cincinnati in a matchup of 4-7's in the Toronto International Bowl

    Somebody ought to get I-AA champ

    Let them play one of the lesser I-A schools and get embarassed by the champs.

    The only problem - the lesser bowls usually do not pay enough. Most teams do not even break even.

    Who is UNC-Charlotte? The ONLY university in the 16-institution University of North Carolina system that uses a hyphen in its name is UNC-Chapel Hill.

    Boo hoo!

    I pull for the 49ers but the attitude of some of you Charlotte guys is enough to make me switch teams. It will be UNC-Charlotte as long as the school insists on acting like an also ran. It's that holier than thou attitude that the entire city of Charlotte has that makes others dislike the area. The General Assembly will never approve the University of Charlotte name as long as it is the great state of Mecklenburg.
