    The Charlotte 49ers are in the AP Top 25 Poll for the second straight week coming in at #21. For the 3rd straight week, a Charlotte player has been named C-USA Player of the Week. This week that honor goes to Eddie Basden. Basden needs only 18 points to reach the 1,000 point plateau at which point he would become the 20th player in Charlotte 49ers history to reach that goal and the second player this season (Curtis Withers reached the 1,000 point mark February 9 vs. Houston). The 49ers face Memphis Wednesday night in a 7:30pm game at Halton Arena. A win would give the 49ers nine in a row at home - a Halton Arena record. As we saw last week, a rowdy crowd at Halton is a definite inspiration to the team. Bring a friend or two and introduce them to some great basketball! See you Wednesday!

    Don’t forget Homecoming is Saturday, February 26 vs. Southern Miss. Doors open at noon for the men’s basketball alumni game. This game is a hoot if you want to see the old guys run back and forth.

    Yea we can beat them but we'll have to play our "A" game. It's up in Louisville so they'll have that advantage. Memphis whooped them so they are beatable.
