If I am Panthers, I take Graham or possibly Warren. Otherwise, I trade back

I have worries about us finding the best fit for Walker.

Mike Kaye mentioned something a week or two ago that the Panthers did not figure out what to do with Jeremy Chinn who was a hybrid type and did not know how it might work out with Walker filling the same role as a hybrid type. I am not a fan because of that worry.

Graham or Warren if we stay at 8.

If we drop into teens, when we have some really good choices like D EZ, Grant, Green, Williams, Golden and we get an extra pick.

I don't want to take a 250 LB guy in top ten for OLB like D EZ as they cannot be successful and in on plays but about 25% of the time. So later down the round is more comfortable spot for those types. Williams could play edge for running plays much better than Walker or D EZ, but on the 3rd and 6 plays where you need a pass rush, D Ez is your man.

Figuring out how to use a strong safety who rotates up on certain downs and plays as an inside linebacker is a little different than taking an inside linebacker and kicking him out to rush the passer. We couldn't do the former with Chinn, but we did the latter with Luvu.

With that said, I don't want Walker much myself. I just don't think he's as good a prospect at either LB or Edge to take at eight. I think people are looking at him as the next Micah Parsons, but he's not. Parsons is bigger and faster, and was the top ranked linebacker in his draft. Walker is LB3, and the only reason people are looking at him as a high pick is he has edge skills. But he's too small to play edge full time.

    Just not for me...

As long as they are productive I don't really care where they are projected. Ezeiruaku is rated good in run defense, has more rush moves than a lot of seasoned vets and can put on weight. After drafting JT Sanders last year and bringing on the superstar Colin Granger getting Warren at 8 seems more a luxury than filling a need and Graham I doubt very seriously will be there. Ezeiruaku has no history of injuries, is intelligent, been productive for years and actually fills a need. To trade down you need a trade partner that sees a need to move up to 8. Ezeiruaku not only had 16 sacks last season, but also a shit ton of pressures. I think he ends up being a more productive pro than Clowney. I see him as more a Hassan Riddick or Dwight Freeney.

QB Sanders not going to be in attendance on draft night.

    He expect bad news?

The space provided probably wouldn't hold his entourage.

When I saw Morgans press conference today, he mentioned that players needed production in college for him to consider.

Doubt that Shemar Stewart is in our future
