    Uh, nope...

"2021 NFL mock draft from CBS Sports

Quarterbacks take the top two spots in this mock, with Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence heading to the New York Jets, and Ohio State’s Justin Fields landing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The next passer off the board is North Dakota State’s Trey Lance, who goes to the Carolina Panthers at No. 7 overall. A fourth quarterback makes it into the top 10, as BYU’s Zach Wilson joins the Atlanta Falcons at No. 8 overall.

One more quarterback joins the first-round ranks in this projection, as Alabama’s Mac Jones is selected by the Chicago Bears at No. 13 overall. Florida’s Kyle Trask is the odd man out in this mock, failing to crack the first round at all."

Caleb Farley at 14 is bad enough, but the best edge rusher in the draft falling to 30 should tell you all you need to know about how much thought and effort went into it.

I would be ok with Wilson at 6 but there's no way the Falcons take Mac Jones at 5. If they're there, I bet they roll the dice on Lance because he will need some time to develop and Ryan's presence will give them that.

heh heh, Parsons being compared to Luke.

    6. Philadelphia Eagles (3-8-1)

    • Micah Parsons, ILB, Penn State (6-3, 245 pounds)
The Eagles have had some of the worst linebacker play in the NFL and they can stay in-state to address their greatest need if they stay up here in the draft order without a playoff berth. Parsons is a rangy, hard-tackling and well-covering cleanup man in the Luke Kuechly mold. Ahead of his opt-out from conference play, he had 109 total tackles, including 5 sacks, last season for the Nittany Lions.

I don't mind the comparison, he's pretty damn good.

The reason I pointed it out is that it just looks strange to see someone compared to a Panther player in a positive way.

We have a decent history for a recent franchise. Luke, Smitty, Peppers, etc...

I agree, but comparisons to them are kind of rare in print.
Like DJ Moore is suppose to be the next Steve Smith.
Don't think I've ever seen a comparison to Peppers in print.
