Actually, according to the draft trade value chart Pres is probably close to what we would get.

Then I would be thrilled and make the trade.
Come away with Darrisaw and the haul of picks

If they don’t move, and Sewell is gone at 8, it may be very hard to pass on Pitts, regardless of available QB’s.

I'll be happy with Pitts, Sewell, or Slater.

Isn’t it kinda funny how several early mocks where projecting Carolina taking Pitts at 8. ...
Unanimously we poo-pooed that here (myself included).
If we had thought of the guy as the next possible DK Metcalf instead of a TE then the projection may have been a little more popular huh

Things are different when you really need a quarterback. I also think that Pitts is closer to Calvin Johnson, and I wouldn’t mind that at all.

Whoever gets picked at 8 you'd think would be a starter unless it is a QB.

Pitts is somewhere in the Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss type player.
If we think DJ or Robbie are not long term, then you consider it.

But, we have weapons a plenty already with CMC joining the two guys above. What we need is the time to get the ball to them.

I am a Sewell/Slater guy at the moment.

Either way, at 8, there is going to be a great guy waiting.

I see we have signed another two ex Seahawks plus a fullback.

    FB - Mikey Daniel (Falcons)
DE - Frank Herron (Patriots, Seahawks, Titans, Lions, and Dolphins)
DT - P.J. Johnson (Lions, Chargers, Seahawks, and Cardinals)

I don't know much about any of them.
