    Gross was the first of the players that Gettleman told to accept a pay cut or piss off. Gross later said in an interview that he would have played more seasons if not for Gettleman. Also, Williams wasn't cut for cap reasons, as it actually cost slightly more against the cap to cut him than to keep him for 2015. He was cut because of his Twitter posts criticizing some of the team's moves.
