CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Bobcats small forward Jeff Taylor will miss the rest of the season because of a ruptured right Achilles tendon.

    Well dammit.

Old habits die hard and the Cats are now 14-20 after what I consider their first blow-out loss of the year.
Portland was easily the best team, but getting thrashed by 30 puts a sting in it.

Wow, the Eastern Conference is extra terrible this year.

The Cats seem to be getting worse instead of better as the year goes along. Not what a fan wants to see. They lose by 27 on the road in Minn. and get out rebounded by 21. To me that shows a lack of hustle and desire to win.
These guys are well paid professionals and to loaf while working 5 hours a day is pathetic.
One of the biggest lollygaggers I saw was Al Jefferson. Way to mail in this game Big Al.
Kemba still can`t shoot and this has to be Henderson`s last season here.
Sessions and Gordon were a combind 3 for 14 so it was a team suck effort.

Nice win by the Bobcats over the Clippers. Even more impressive with no Kimba. Kidd-Gilcrest still sucks monkey balls. Has he scored in double digits yet?

At one point in last nights game with the Knicks, Melo was 19 of 25 and that was midway through the 3rd quarter.
He always takes a lot of shots, but doesn`t always have the best percentage.
Ended up being 23 of 35 for 62 points and even had 13 rebounds.

When Tolliver is your leading scorer then it was a good night.

Noticed on the game notes from espn:

The Bobcats were without guard Kemba Walker, whose 18.7 points and five assists per game were missed. Walker has been out with a sprained left ankle for two weeks and is expected to return soon. ... Saturday was Fan Appreciation Night at the US Airways Center. About half the crowd received "Go Suns" foam fingers. ... Injured Suns guard Eric Bledsoe has been out since Jan. 2, but he is the featured player on bobblehead dolls that will be given to fans at the next Suns home game, Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls. ... The balls used for Saturday's game were among the first ones to bear the signature of new NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. ... The two teams wore warm-up shirts bearing the Twitter hashtag "(hash)NBABHM" in honor of Black History Month.

This is good need to know stuff...

Cats got a lot of talk of making some trades and going for a playoff push.

Greg Monroe , Taj Gibson , Evan Turner are some of the names being thrown around.

Looks like they want to trade our picks this year to make the push and limit the amount of young guys on the roster next year.

If we could land Monroe and Turner and sign them reasonably at end of season I would be all for this.

    A lineup of

    PG: Kemba
    SG: Henderson
    SF: Turner
    PF: Monroe
    C: Jefferson

Looks like a team that could sneak a playoff series the way Big Al has been playing as of late.

I would be for this move as we transition into the Hornets next season.

I'm glad they're relevant and playing for a playoff spot, but I don't know if I'd blow my wad just to maybe get to the second round. It's a pretty horrible conference outside of the top two teams so I guess I understand the temptation.
