given the recent play of the pacers, they'd probably be the easier team to upset. not sure how well jefferson plays against hibbert, tho. and if big al can't get going on o, it'd be rough try to score on indy. of course, they've got plenty of their own offensive woes at the moment. i think the cats have the individual defenders to keep them in the game.

i don't think miami has an answer for al on the block, but the cats have no answer for any body on the heat really. you'd have to hope wade's knees limit him and that bosh has a bad shooting night (and nobody else suddenly catches fire). you can figure lebron will get his 35 or so. basically, i don't see there being anything the cats can do against miami aside from hope to get lucky. that's a rough proposition in a 7 game series.

Yeah I don't expect them to advance unless they can draw Toronto.

yeah, it's unlikely. hopefully they'll at least get a win or two. from a builing for the future perspectivt, miami might be the best draw simply because it would help to generate some sort of rivalry. playing in the playoffs is where those kinds of things get generated and i don't really see a toronto/charlotte or indiana/charlotte rivalry ever taking hold. but miami and charlotte have history dating back to the hornets years and of course they're more of a regional adversary. they'd have little chance of taking them down this year, but if the goal is to return to the playoffs in the future, it's a good chance they'll meet up again. you play a few time in the playoffs and you start to get a rivalry and rivalries bring out the fans.

so if they're gonna lose anyway, might as well lose to a team that gets people excited to come see you play. get the fans invested.

Pacers. They don't have the outside shooters to make Charlotte pay for clogging the paint on defense.

I'm man enough to say I was wrong about Al Jefferson. He still doesn't play defense for shit but he rebounds and scores like crazy and this team hasn't ever had that since maybe our favorite jerri curl wearing player

A winning season would be kind of nice, from a pride standpoint. Did they have a winning season in the playoff year?
