I guess it means overall the East sucks.

The Charlotte Bobcats and Ben Gordon are closing in on a buyout agreement that will make the veteran guard a free agent, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com's Ramona Shelburne.

The 30-year-old Gordon is under a $13.3 million contract for this year after the team picked up his option for 2013-14 in June. He would become a free agent as soon as a buyout is completed and he clears waivers.

Gordon, whose tenure with the Bobcats begain in 2012-13, has seen limited minutes in recent weeks, averaging 5.3 points in 14.4 minutes per game this season.

He likely doesn't fit into the Bobcats' immediate plans in the wake of the team's trade on Thursday for guards Luke Ridnour and Gary Neal from the Milwaukee Bucks.

A very difficult road trip coming up for the Cats. At the best, the next 4 games they will come out 2-2, but more likely 1-3.

The Cats still can`t get to the status of beating really good teams.
Then again 27-31 is a lot better than I thought they were going to be before the season started.

Got it done tonight against Cleveland. You'd like to go ahead and leapfrog Brooklyn but the 7th spot looks more likely.

After going 0-3, I didn`t have a warm and fuzzy about the Pacers` game, but was pleasantly surprised.

Heat or Pacers - who is the better match-up for Charlotte in the playoffs?
