    posturing at its finest...

The Tampa Bay Times confirms the Buccaneers remain "greatly focused" on acquiring Darrelle Revis, but are still "weighing" whether to offer the Jets the No. 13 overall draft pick.

This story comes just on the heels of a PFT report that the Bucs are indeed willing to surrender No. 13. Per beat reporter Rick Stroud, the Jets "emphatically" told the Bucs that they won't get Revis without the 13th pick. It's hard to know what to trust as both clubs pursue their own best interests via the media, but we tend to believe Bucs GM Mark Dominik would give up No. 13, in addition to a later-round pick or two. The Times also confirms Dominik is willing to pay Revis $15-plus million per year and the Bucs believe they are "the only team actively pursing Revis."

If Tampa gives him a new contract just after they make the trade then they are fools. As good as Revis was he is still coming off a torn acl. I'd have to see him play before I made such a huge commitment

Revis' contract stipulates that he can't be franchised. If you don't want to commit the money, you don't make the trade.

If we could trade down 4-7 spots, land Sylvester Williams, and pick up an additional 3rd rounder I'd be thrilled.

I'm really hoping we draft Austin at 14 - just for the reaction around here. I think it would be fantastic.

When the Panthers draft, what DT that could be there is most like Kris Jenkins. I miss getting interior push collapsing the pocket he gave us
