Every year during the spring/summer I like to go through the schedules to look for certain situations - teams with lots of home (Hey DaveW) or away games, revenge, etc. One of the things I look for is a team that doesn't have a bye for a really long stretch. Or at all.

But the Big 10 is just nuts this year - especially with 12 games on the schedule. The entire conference plays their games in 12 straight weeks ending on Nov. 18th. Purdue even has a 13th game at Hawaii.

Noticed VA Tech only has 4 away games.

Yup. That's why I waved at Dave. I think both of us get 8 at home this year. It's a nice deal if you can get it.

I still think someone needs to be shot for that N'eastern game.

I suspect a few teams will. I have no clue what y'all have coming back though. I thought Herbstreit must've been drunk on ESPN last night when he said we would still be pretty good this year. No way we win at BC or Miami. Catching Clemson in B'burg on 5 days helps. They play GT the week before.

id almost rather trade for 8 away games and 4 home games. Got Ark, Fla, Tenn, and lsu on the road.

Shouldn't be a problem for the Tide, team-to-team. The intangibles are not in their favor, though.

    UGA's schedule

Sat 09/02/06 Western Kentucky Athens, Ga. TBA
Sat 09/09/06 South Carolina Columbia, S.C. TBA
Sat 09/16/06 UAB Athens, Ga. TBA
Sat 09/23/06 Colorado Athens, Ga. TBA
Sat 09/30/06 Mississippi Oxford, Miss. TBA
Sat 10/07/06 Tennessee Athens, Ga. TBA
Sat 10/14/06 Vanderbilt (Homecoming) Athens, Ga. TBA
Sat 10/21/06 Mississippi State Athens, Ga. TBA
Sat 10/28/06 Florida Jacksonville, Fla. TBA
Sat 11/04/06 Kentucky Lexington, Ky. TBA
Sat 11/11/06 Auburn Auburn, Ala. TBA
Sat 11/25/06 Georgia Tech Athens, Ga. TBA

The home schedule sucks really bad this year. Tech and Colorado are decent games. Only good one is Tennessee. I think UGA loses to South Carolina since Richt doesn't know who is going to be QB and he said he probably will have a better idea...after the first game. So I'm guessing Tereshinski blows it for Georgia in the second game of the year. Dave, your schedule sounds like absolute murder, especially with the way Florida is projected to romp through the East this year and Tennessee will probably go something around 7-5 or 8-4 and Arkansas should be a lot better this year and make a bowl game. Georgia lucked out with Mississippi State and Ole Miss on their schedule.

we have a bunch a question marks like uga. (no qb) I wont be surprised if we went 6-6. I wont be surprised if we go 11-1 either.
