What in the hell are some teams thinking? I've never seen so many lower tier schools on 11 game Div. 1 schedules.

Tex Tech - for example - opens with FIU, Sam Houston State, and Indiana State. And they are supposed to have a good team next year! Did ex-Hoya coach John Thompson make their schedule?

    WTF?

Sometimes a schools gets screwed on their schedule by other schools. With the ACC, Big East and C-USA doing some team swapping, NC State got the bad end of a non-conference scheduling change. 2005 originally had non-conference games against Va. Tech, Louisville and Navy. Now we're stuck with Temple, Eastern Kentucky and thankfully have Southern Miss after being stuck with Central Florida for a while. Now of course NC State fans will catch hell from rivals about our "weak" non-conference schedule but it was totally out of our control. Might be the same for other schools too, not sure.

I understand that. Bailouts happen. I even suggested that UNC should try and get out of one of their OOC games a while back because the schedule is gonna be too hard. The AD that drew up their 2005 schedule should be shot.

And I'm glad to not see a Florida A&M on Va Tech's schedule this year (Ohio U, WVU, Marshall).

But that can't explain all of it. Not all of the schedules are set, but here's a bunch.

USC's looking for a home game. I'd love it if State dropped Temple and took that one.

What the hell, is Temple trying to become the unofficial 13th member of the ACC? They got games against 5 league teams next year.

They refuse to schedule Big East teams because of the booting.

I can hear the hype on Texas Tech now going into that Texas game.

Texas plays at Ohio State...I beleive it is game number 2 for both teams. Both teams are loaded.
