If Smith is gone, then I say we'll need both. With Smith, just the mid rounder. Hell, Dee Brown could end up being the starter anyway?

    Re: projection

It's hard to believe that whether or not we would get Palmer or possibly Leftwich (if Cin takes Palmer) would be decided by a damn coin toss if we go 0-4 from here. The way our luck runs I don't like our chances. If Eli's Daddy won't let him enter this year then we would be SOL on a top QB prospect . . . heads or tails?

Seems to me that If Chicago beats us then they would be the better team, and the crappier team (that would be us) should get honors in the draft. Yet another flawed lil' NFL rule.

Strentgh of schedule will also change a little over the final four games, so that may change, I'll keep it updated best I can.

    For the record.

My Gut tells me we are looking at Ragone - 1st. and Bryant Johnson - 2nd. How would that sit with every one?

I'm driving the "I don't want Ragone" bus. Any one else want a ride?

From most of the info I've been seeing (especially lately) I'm thinking about getting on your bus but it's a little too early for me to jump on just yet. There are probably 4 rooks that I would feel better about at this point though.

Banks, Boller, Gesser, or for that matter Grossman are all better QB's. The only thing Ragone has on any of them is his size.

  8. Ragone has very nice size, a great arm, and very good running skills for a QB his size.

Brad Banks will not be a good college QB. Someone will draft him in like the 3rd round and he'll turn out to be a Eric Crouch. Anyone remember him. The only QB's that I seem to like that are coming out this year are Ragone, Manning, Palmer, and Boller. I'd be happy with any of those three. The rest Carolina should pass on.

  9. I'd be very happy if we went like this on draft day...

    Round 1. Ragone
    Round 2. Taylor Jacobs-WR or Doug Gabriel-QB

If for some reason we decide to pass on a QB in round one than I'd like this...

    Round 1. Roy Williams-WR
    Round 2. Kyle Boller- QB

    No thanks on Ragone :(
