We started out 2-5 in 1999. We finished 8-8 and had that game where we were stomping the Saints and Green Bay was stomping someone else trying to get the tie breaker for margin of victory. We did not make the playoffs but it was a good year with some exciting games.

We were 1-7 in 2004 and ended up with a chance to make the playoffs but for losing our last game.

Maybe this can turn around as well.

If we started clicking again we could beat anyone in the league. Our running game and defense can be very good when they are in sync. If Jake can just snap out of it and start playing well again.......

We swept the Saints last year. Our game with Atlanta is at home. Jake's back is against the wall, this could be the end of his career if he does not play better. He seems to be at his best when under a lot of pressure.

I know I am being a homer but I kind of like the way Jake said he was going down swinging. It makes me think he might shake all this off and play very well against the Cards. He has nothing left to lose so he might as well swing for the fences.

 

maybe instead of 5 picks this time, he will limit himself to only 4.

 

We'll see what the defense does when not playing 3 of worst offenses in the league.

If the offense plays the way it has so far this year then the defense will certainly fail. I needs to the offense to not give a short field to the Cards and to put up some points and control the ball. If the offense does that I think the defense will do its part.
