1st Rd. QB's

According to Chris Mortenson ( http://espn.go.com/chrismortensen/s/2003/0105/1487512.html ) the Packers are going to use their 1st round pick on a QB . I'm starting to think that we should definately try and trade down a few spots and take a QB with the 1st round pick. The odds of getting a good one in round 2 are getting smaller.

 

They want Grossman?...well they won't see the playoffs for the next 10 years.

 

they didnt' word it to where they'd use a first on Grossman, but they really should have done something before now anyway. Then again that suggests they had made moves at WR before now and they didn't.

 

I don't think Grossman will last until they pick in the 2nd. Isn't he projected to go late 1st early 2nd?

I don't have him rated that high overall, nor with QBs. He'd be at their second, if everone was agreeing with what I'm saying, but someone may pick him in the mid-2nd. I'd be surprised, but it could happen. I don't find him better than Boller, Simms, Ragone, or Kingsbury, though I could see where Kingsbury and Grossman could flip flop.

 

grossman reminds me of drew brees. kingsbury reminds me of tim couch. if the panthers have a choice between the two i think grossman would be a better choice. just my $.02
