What a freakin' nightmare of an "IF" season that was. LaGarde blows out his knee. Sweet D breaks a finger in the ACC tourney. Ford pops an elbow in the regional. Geesh.

Glad McGuire got his title, but '77 is the one felt like it was finally gonna happen.

what a complete waste of tv time that show was. cant believe I wasted 45 seconds watching . a couple of reruns of 227 and golden girls would have been better viewing

really? you think if it was possible to pick a team up out of one era and plop them into another that has drastically different rules (shot clock, three-pointer), the transition would be seamless?

who knew they made rose colored glasses in powder blue.

No, even UNC Charlotte would beat those old teams.

I think it wouldn't matter for shit when Phil Ford played, he'd still be better than any other PG the ACC has ever had. I think Michael Jordan would've been okay in a league with a shot clock and a 3 point line too. ANd Dean Smith won a national championship in both eras. Just my opinion though.:twocents:

No, what was making me LMFAO is the assumption that 4 Corners was all that the Smith teams were about.

To your other point, the '82 UNC and probably the '74 NCSU could play with the current ACC crop, no problem under the current rule set. We aren't exactly talking the '57-'69 teams here.

how the heck would larry bird be able to take down the 92 devils.. there was some terrible decisions by the votes out there... and im wondering how the 00' spartans werent in there.. with mo pete and mateen cleaves... they were an outstanding team.. the best thing in that show was listening to digger and walton jabber back and forth at each other lol
