    I think everyone pretty much agrees if it wasn't for Chris Fucking Ford, the 1970 Brown Indians would've won the championship and would now be considered the best ever.

    84 was probably the best UNC team ever. Fuckering broken wrist.

    The 1992 Duke team was better than any of those teams. Laetner and Hurley were two of the best college players ever. Throw in Grant Hill and Thomas Hill and coach K and you have the best team ever. Has there been another back to back champion since then? Those UCLA teams won all those titles back when there were only a handfull of good teams. In the modern era the 92 Duke team is the bet ever.

    The absense/existence of the shot clock and, to a smaller extent, the three point line, makes these arguments worthless.

    A team whose success hinged on getting a second half lead and then stalling 10 minutes off the clock would have a hard time competing today.
