I have an old, wood bat I received standing in line at will call for a Pittsburgh Pirates game, back when I was a kid. The pine tar has dried out and the tape is starting to frey. No idea how many times its been hit or who swung it, but it has the #38, written in Sharpie, on the handle. I carry it around in the back seat incase someone needs an, "attitude adjustment". I'll let her go for, $250.00 firm.

My Great Uncle is Mel Ott. The downside of that is I am also related to Ed Ott who had the shortest name in the bigs at the time but was a crack head.

aluminum bats. . . . . easier to swing, bigger sweet spot and that metallic sound as it hits that head has an enduring ring to it.
