THat's mean Lainey. Real Mean. :D

Good luck guys. I'll quit if the do-gooders get their way and they make them illegal to buy. Of course...they'll probably be cheaper on the black market than they are now.

This may not help, but when I quit (even though it was because of the baby) I thought about cigs everyday about 20 times a day (one thought for every cig in a pack). Eventually, you figure out what you use to do before you smoked. My biggest problem was remembering what I did with my hands before I smoked. For about 2 months I could smoke the balls off a cig and then eat the butt, but now, it doesn't bother me. Honestly, the smell makes me sick, especially when I don't smell it all day and come home and mailman has smoked a pack since he walked in the door.

I know you can do it....Good Luck!

I am hanging in there Windy. Thanks for the support and all others.
I went up to the texaco to see what kind of candy on a stick or something to chew on they had. Ended up finding out that they charge 59cent for 5 Lik A Nips or what ever they call them now days. Little wax bottles with a syrup like liquid in them. That bout pushed me over the edge but I regained my composure and I am doing much better now.:D

Those are Nik'L Nips, Putt. Anyway, a buddy of mine was in the same shape as you so he went to Tinderbox and bought a handful of Monte Cristos and some spicy-smelling Jamaican cigars and took them home and ate the damn things. He said he carefully unwrapped them and chewed the wrappers and then let the guts sit in his mouth until they got gooey and then swallowed them. As a professional, I'm not recommending this, but the guy was hooked to the tune of 2 1/2 packs a day and hasn't smoked in three years.

Keep at it putt, it will get easier. (but it may take a while). If you can avoid it, don't light up. this will put you back to ground 0, and then you will have to debate whether it is worth it to stop again. Trust me, it is worth stopping (I quit about 12 years ago). Hopefully the patch will help make it easier.

Yeah good luck to the both of you.

I quit smoking for four years then started again. The longer you go without a cigarette the easier it gets. However, you'll be fighting the urge to smoke for the rest of your life.

But after awhile, the food will taste better and that's when you have to be careful not to put on weight. Your sense of smell will also improve.

Hang in there. You both can do it!:D

Yeah a good dose of biofeedback may work. My dad did a number on me with a carton of camels when I got caught at 14. got so sick I never could bring myself to start again.
