I hate the undefeated thing going out the window for the players, because that's a once in a lifetime chance at immortality. But as a fan I don't mind so much. I was getting annoyed at the all of the talk about it. I don't believe it was a distraction for the team or any of that garbage, but as a fan of the team I didn't like having that overshadowing the real goals.

At the same time, I fucking hate losing to Atlanta. Or to anybody. It's definitely a conflict.

 

They kicked our ass. All game.

We were lucky that cam had a chance - twice - in the end to tie.

Not Cam's best day - seems like more bad throws than good. Defense ate shit - I think they punted once.

So - back to being stoked about having a bye and winning the NFCS 3 years in a row.

 

Wow, what the fuck did Matthew Slater do? Jesus Fucking Christ.

 

What worries me is that we're playing our worst football the past few weeks. New Orleans, New York, and now the second Atlanta game.

Teams know how to beat us now. They know our defense has no back end speed, and all you have to do it hit us deep and gash the middle zones when we back up.

Losing Bene hurt a lot worse than I thought it would, though I did think it would hurt badly. Cortland has nothing left. Charles Johnson has less left than Allen, who has nothing left.

And Norman lost his edge today. He is not the same player, and shame on the league for that because he did nothing wrong last week, but is frightened to play his game.

Arizona must be laughing their asses off.

 

And now that big nosed piece of shit is doing the dab mocking Cam. Fuck him

 

That was their Super Bowl. If they want to celebrate the fucking up of their draft pick that's fine with me. We've got bigger fish to fry.

 

That's exactly how we played too, like we had bigger fish to fry. Or should I say, we played like the big fish that didn't mind getting fried. Jumped right into the boat too.

I'm pissed at the whole team. Can't help it. And the coordinators.

 

An undefeated regular season would given us something to brag about 45 years from now (ala the Dolphins from the Shula era). But I'm okay with the loss. Sometimes you need to get kicked in the cods to let you know they aren't made of iron.

I just hope that our secondary letting Ryan pick them a part was a lack of focus rather than a lack of talent. We know Luke and Coleman can play, but that Nakamura-esqe TD to Jones was inexcusable, and mostly a fluke.

Good teams learn from their mistakes. If we don't use this loss as a learning experience, we don't deserve to go to an NFC championship and even more, a Super Bowl. So I choose to look at it as a wake up call we needed.

But...I've been known to be wrong.

 

So much for resting players. Play angry and annilate the Buccaneers so maybe they can take a quarter off.

 

Just win the damn game. For fuck sake. I don't care if it's 2-0.
