This kind of thinking drives me insane. You can make stupid decisions that turn out well and you can make good decisions that turn out poorly. Releasing Steve Smith was stupid. Giving Michael Oher the starting left tackle job without any competition was stupid. Providing no competition for Roman Harper was stupid. Coming into the season with only three real cornerbacks and one of those being an injury-prone veteran was stupid.

The other stuff didn't get us in potentially nearly as much trouble right now, as this one may.

Yup. The guy actually catches a couple (that any WR should catch) and ESPN makes lame attempts to elevate him. According to Steven A. Smiff Ginn "would be" an elite WR "if" he actually did less dropping (btw- shouldn't not dropping sorta be the main criteria for being elite) . .. Skip Bayless also said that Ginn was the fastest man in the NFL (so that MUST be true) :handjob:

I agree with everything Collin said. I don't care about all the psyco babble that has been foisted on us, Steve Smith was in no way addition by subtraction. You cannot take him off that team without hurting your chances of winning games. Gettleman's ego overruled his brain on that one.

As far as GM credit, okay fine, whatever makes you happy, but we do have coaches who influence the players' performance after the GM "rewards" them with all those UDFAs. Those guys are doing a great job with the spare parts they are forced to work with.

He has bad hands, but give him a lot of credit for consistently getting behind the coverage. That is not so easy to do.

Who gives a shit how hard it is for him to beat coverage if he doesn't catch the damn ball! When Ginn consistently catches the ball I'll start taking the pro-Ginn talk more seriously.
