I don't care if we go 13-3, I want to state my appreciation of what we have been treated to this year.

Long enough time coming and I won't say the wait has been worth it, yet, but I have not had as much pleasure on gameday for years. Probably since 2003 on balance. I've actually been able to relax and enjoy some of the ass whippings we have delivered, rather than being on edge until the last play is run.

And am happy that Cam seems to have grown into a guy that I can actually like, and be proud to have a talent like him as a Panther. Never an off field misstep either.

We have some great players here, good times.

They have played great this year! One more win and the clinch home field or did they already do that?

Clinched a bye. Need 1 more win and an Arizona loss to clinch homefield.

It really has been a beautiful season.

So beautiful that, as many times as I've wanted to start fights here, I'm a firm believer in all the positive juju going out to this team. A city can transform it's destiny just by will alone sometimes, I think. And I think the fever is helping the team.

I watch the Dolphins struggle with that garbage ass QB they have, and I think man, it wasn't that long ago for us.

I think how lucky we were that Hurney wasn't successful trading out the Newton draft pick to the Rams for Clausen. We came so close...so close to being in ruin right now.

I think Luck is going to be an amazing player, but were we by chance fortunate that he stayed in? Has our guy started tapping his higher ceiling? too early to tell I guess, but it's all just so fucking beautiful right now.

    Think about it...

We have the MVP for quarterback. We have the best middle linebacker in the game. The best corner in the game. A rising star DT. A coach who admits mistakes and tries to correct them, as maddening as he was.

It's all really just pretty incredible.

Damn I forgot about Hurney trying to trade up for Clausen. We would be the NFC Browns if that had happened.

Hurney deserves a ton of credit for our current success right now, and the cornerstones are all his. But yeah - he was a double edged sword, and he cut us all to shit with the sharp end too.

    And that would've doomed us.

Yep. And at the same time, I think alot of Gettleman's decisions have been instrumental. The drafts have been solid enough that the picks are playing / starting, some are very good. The FA moves have been cautious but effective - Coleman, Tillman, Dickson, Love, Remmers, Oher (love it or hate it).

He also made probably the most unpopular decision ever, more unpopular than B-line, in releasing Smitty. And without Smitty, we're 20-9-1, and we have the best team in the history of the franchise.

Think about Ted Ginn getting over the dropsies and how awesome he would be - and I mean awesome - especially with an accurate deep ball.

And think about how Miami fans treated him. And then think about the Shulas.
