i think i might be starting to develop a severe case of Theltitis and visions of an unproven player scoring every form of TD imaginable have started creeping into my idle thoughts . . .. it's weird. It's especially weird because until yesterday i never would have considered the possibility of said player doing anything positive. that player is . . . .... ... .. .. .

Someone explain to me why a simplified 1-2 read-and-go offense won't suffice for one season?

I see why it won't work after that, because DC's will find a way to kill it in the offseason, but I think Chuds can bake something simple that will get Cam through this season.

It wouldn't take a season for NFL defenses to adjust...it might not take a full half.:juggle2:

It can. Remember that monster year Culpepper had for Minnesota in 2004 even though Randy Moss missed half of that season? It was because of the simplified read system that Linnehan installed, and Linnehan leaving is what doomed DC's career, not the loss of Moss (that and Chris Gamble fucking his knee up right in front of me, ruining my fucking fantasy team). It takes a lot for an OC to swallow his pride and go with something so fucking dumb, but it can be highly effective with the right players.

I was riding in a friends car today and heard two local idiots interviewing Cam Newton and I'm not sure what was more disturbing, the stupid, confusing questions being asked, or the retarded, rambling answers being given. That is one stupid QB folks.
