That makes sense. I looked at his numbers after my initial shock and he actually seems to be a pretty decent QB. The fact that he put up more TDs than INTs at KC is promising, and the offense does seem tailor made for a guy like that. If he ends up being an athletic version of pennington, it could be a really good move in the long run.

Yeah, but why go after him if you're happy with what you have?

Then again, the Chiefs have been terrible for a long time.

I have that same feeling. Plus, he seems to take decent care of the ball. Then again, it's pretty obvious that Pat White wasn't brought in to be a starting QB. It's possible the cheifs got enamored with Cassell, but it bothers me that Thigpen got dropped down the depth chart for Cassell.

I know, and I don't care. Pissing me off won't help.

Hard to say on Fox. Maybe it really is time for change - the saturation and all that. My biggest fear isn't even losing him when I think he's a very good coach - it's the uncertainty. Will we do as well this time? People assume it's just a natural thing. We'll just immediately hit on it. Or better yet, we find a guy who can resume hardass mode and ride this talent with a change or two to a good season or two, and then shits the bed "his way".

Meeks' D was working best when it was attacking and blitzing - not that the one gap isn't attacking but it reminds me of when the O would want to give up for those 3rd down draws. Like we were completely out of our comfort zone in a way that was working but that won't continue to work and might not really work in our plans. But i do like 2 deep and 4 under, or even the 3 deep man technique cover one.

and I'm gonna fucking kill meat with this piddly Henning shit. People made that ************ out to be something he's not.

The schedule definitely makes a difference. We're outmatched this year so far.

probably so. Will be hard for people to cope when they realize Cowher's off the table and there's no first round pick.

I don't get it - I mean I've always looked ahead to the next year, not because I wanted to quit on the season, but because building a team is interesting. But I guess it's natural. It is what it is. It's been a good run, though, and that's part of what sucks. That and barely hoping we can do anything shipping JP to go get some defense. And naturally a QB, since no one else will want Jake.
