    >>On Monday, the appeals court said Clarett was "no different from the typical worker who is confident that he or she has the skills to fill a job vacancy, but does not possess the qualifications or meet the requisite criteria that have been set." It said ruling in favor of Clarett would be deciding that professional football players were entitled to advantages under federal labor laws that transport workers, coal miners or meat packers do not enjoy.

    No different except a typical worker does not have to enter a draft they can choose what company they wish to work for. Oh and how many meat packers, coal miners or transport workers have to attend 3 years of college To compare meat packers to NFL prospects is fucking stupid if anything NFL prospects are treated more like the meat. IMO if this case was about anything other than the NFL fighting to keep its free minor league system they would require 4 years of college. I don't buy this shit about these guys are not physically mature enough to handle the beating, look at how many players were drafted Claretts age or younger this year. Don't even hand me the education bullshit whats the difference if you go 2 or 3 years you didn't finish. I would have no issue with the NFL doing what they are doing if they would just be honest about it.

    No college player has to attend 3 years of college. So that's a moot argument. The NFL simply says the player must be out of their high school graduting class for 3 years. But what I've noticed during this whole ordeal is that there is apparently a group that is too ignorant to comprehend that. Maybe they didn't have the intelligence themselves to get into college because they can't understand the basic concepts behind this. Hell the players don't technically even have to graduate high school. Simply have to have been out three years from that point. And EVERY job has requirements that must be met. Most retail jobs require a valid form of transportation to and from work. My job required a degree in my field. Each job has the right to determine what its requirements are and as long as they treat everyone that meets those requirements equally then the government can't say a damned thing, because it isn't one bit illegal. If they do try to take that kind of control it borderlines communisms control over who can work where.

    I want to know who's paying for all of these appeals. It sure as hell can't be Clarett. He's just wasting money and time. :nono:

    To think the rule is in place for any other reason than making someone attend college is ubsurd. So I don't think people are ignorant as you say. Some people can read between the lines or think outside the box something you should have learned to do in college. I just believe college should be there for people who want to be there. I see know reason for wasting teachers and other students time with some half wit jock who is only concern is "how manys more fingers till i gets to play feetball". The rule also protects the NFL from it's self they know that once the flood gates open these players will be drafted.

    And suggesting that any rule has other meaning is purely based on opinion and can't be used in a court case. "Well your honor they see this but it's obvious they MEAN this." Pure junk. And maybe some of them went to college to learn to spell absurd. Furthermore very few of the players from High School will get drafted. The only players this will affect are the players that have played 1 or 2 years in college and still aren't eligable. So you'll still see people "wasting teachers' time" but now you'll hurt the college game by allowing them out earlier. The high school players generally aren't physically developed enough to play football. As opposed to basketball players that have the physical ability, but, in my opinion, lack proper developmental skills. But that's another story itself. Due to the lack of physical ability the only players affected will be those that have played 1 or 2 good years in college and try to bolt. Once again like I said that doesn't solve your "wasting time" problems.

    Clarett = Dummy

    Didn't anyone tell him patience is a virtue? Now he finds out the hard way. I'll still take him on the Cowboys!
