God, I hope so. That boy is in more dire need of a good dose of STFU than any other player in the AFC. Probably more than anyone in the league.

And when Ray Ray is done with him, he can go see Joey in Pittsburgh, provided he's not on IR by then.

Who else thinks Poston will try and play this game with Gambles contract???

I’d like to know what people here think Winslow will get paid like. More importantly to us, where will Poston insist that Gamble should have been picked? If those two players are not paid inline (relatively) with where they were picked then it could set a damaging president for future rook contracts. What would stop any agent from pointing out that his client who slipped from 1st round consideration to the 3rd or 4th should get 1st round money? Especially when team reps coaches & GMs themselves are always so giddy to brag that so-and-so was “a steal” where they got him. In the future why shouldn’t there be “set contracts” for every pick in the damn draft? The main reason I love that idea is because it would give greedy agents ulcers. Fuck ‘em. :evil3:

I have been discussing that for a while. It would reduce the chances of a getting dud at a high pick. Have a certain amount that the player gets for so many years. How much is dependent upon what position and in what round. Make it up to the team to make it incentive based or not. I personally would to give the player incentive to want to prove himself. If I was a gm I would have told manning here's your salary and either you play or no pay. If I had too many problems out of a player like sapp, then I would have warned him after the second time that if he kept it up he would be suspended the rest of the season without pay. I think that would set the mood for any other player if they decide to try the coach. To me if they know they are worth more money and don't complain but produce that would give me incentive to give them a better contract without the hassle when it comes to resigning.

    can anyone say shemunga.

All you can say is does the boy come out and earn that big money or does he sit all summer and get injured in the first few plays of the season?
