I don't know if it's just me. But I dont know anyone, and especially me, that gives a shit-fuck about historical crap. Like I said, if I want to see purdy lil' cracker box shitty houses, I'll drive 20min west to Old Salem, at least they serve you bad-ass cookies.

If Greensboro is catering to 30+ age group, than this new downtown theme is nice, I'll bet it does good for a while for all the older people to enjoy. But as far as catering to my age group, the majority agrees, it blows.

Obviously this ballpark thread has envoked alot of Jealousy because I didn't start out attacking someone elses city. I should have known to expect this after posting something positive about a NC city other than Charlotte.

listen, I'm from Greensboro, born and raised and still live here. I am proud to be from here, but I hate the direction they are going on. Again, they are catering to older people not the younger people. That's why we are GREENSBORING. It's ashame we have to drive an hour south or east to go have fun, b/c our city is lame.

I live here now and I was born here so I've seen the changes. Greensboro is now catering to the younger generation. We still can become a better city but we've come a long way in just 10 years. a city desn't have to be big to cater to young professionals or have a vibrant city like. Believe me, theres plenty to do in Greensboro. You're choosing not look for anything to do.

These websites will tell you the direction Greensboro is headed and its not about old folks homes or retirement communities.

    www.actiongreensboro.org

    www.synerg.org

If you like the other direction, as you have claimed, then you want to see Greensboro turn into a ghost town with no jobs or real future.

you mean I want Greensboro to go in Charlotte or Raleigh's direction? Yea, they are hurting, no jobs in both cities and no real future. You're an idiot.

Dont try to turn what I said around.

No you said that you didn't like the direction Greensboro was head. We'll we're on a path that will bring more jobs to Greensboro. We're on a path to turn Greensboro into an urban destination. When you say that, it leads me to believe you want Greensboro going in the opposite direction. I was beginning to think you were one of those C.A.V.E.s or NIMBYs who don't want to see Greensboro move forward. Because you try to look for negatives in Greensboro and not positives.
