    The fact was our team didn't show up for a big game. Conf USA isn't going to get 5 teams in, they'll get four (you can figure out the 3 shoe ins). Us and Memphis are on the bubble of the 4th team in and now Memphis has the edge.

    I'm here. I feel better after the Marquette win and the Panthers in the Superbowl. Shame we had to lose at Memphis but we were do to lose and they were do to win. All blind squirrels find acorns. I should of known not to run smack, its a gauranteed loss. Congrats Memphis on winning your Superbowl vs. the Niners, good luck in the NIT again. Thank you drive thru.

    So are they going to make the NIT and you guys aren't? I am sure you got just as mad when UNC beat UConn.

    You're delusional if you think that beating UNCC is anywhere near the top of the list for Memphis. I can think of 7 games that are bigger to Memphis fans. It was just fun to watch your boys get their asses handed to them.

    Yeah, that's why they lost.

    email from Memphis team manager to Calipari on 1-19-04:

    coach,
    upon your request, I have made all the travel arrangements to New York city for the second week of March. I was able to get us a good deal just 2 blocks from Madison Square Garden. Also, a local eatery (who so happens to be the official sandwich of the NIT tournament) will be feeding us that week free of charge since we are such regulars in the area at this time each year. Please respond asap if these food and lodging accomodations are OK by you. I have CC the alumni association also.
