First, let me say that I hope Diener is doing well and that he will be on the court very soon. He is the heart and soul of that team and could play on my team any day.

However, working with TV last night I saw what I think was the most irresponsible journalism from a broadcaster I have seen in a long time. I've worked almost every TV game in Halton and I was never so pissed. The color commentator (forget his name) and former Marquette great, all but called Calvin's play intentional, and did so repeatedly. By no means was that an intentional play. It was about the eighth time in the game Diener got someone in the air on a pump fake and unfortunately for him it was a player about 250 pounds. This announcer said Calvin didn't do anything to get out of the way and should have, as if he could freeze himself in mid-air like a freaking acrobat and move. He simply got caught in the air and landed on him. Pure accident. Stuff like that pisses me off because undoubtedly he convinced a lot of TV viewers that it was dirty, and that simply was not the case. The guy sounded like a moron combination of Walt Frazier and Mike Tyson.

I heard those cheers Norman and it made me sick. Our students act like first timers every year. How about when they started the "overrated" chant in the first fucking half just because we were up 13. First of all, that is the stupidest chant in the world because it actually insults your own team. Second, how is Marquette overrated? They had lost 2 straight coming in and had plummetted out of the top 25. Dont you have to actually be rated to be overrated? Cut the shit students.

I guess you'll have to listen for the "Boston Celtics chant" when we play Louisville....

How about no throwing shit on the floor or at the opposing bench. You would think our students could figure this out on their own, but rest assured that it will happen at the Cincy game when all the rookie students show up.

And don't bring a fucking whistle to the game. Some clown was blowing one last night. Artificial noise makers are illegal in NCAA basketball and we got a tech foul warning last year because some student behind the basket was blowing one.

I HATE the key's dangling at end of games, so high school, and I hate the turning your back reading the newspaper during intro's. Fucking A, get some new material.

Okay Gang Green and frat boys... you've been challenged by the "old timers." Can you do something about it to improve these legitimate thoughts?

yo, we try to get good chants going, but a lot of the other students don't know anything about basketball or about chanting. We went apeshit when those fucks starting chanting overrated. Someone busted out the keys and someone else took them away.

I know I'm a little late on this one, but I was seated directly next to the commentator on press row and I couldn't believe what he was saying. I asked him if he was serious and he said it was painfully obvious. I couldn't do anything but shake my head.
When Calvin walked over there to see if Diener was making any progress, the commentator said, "He shouldn't even be alowed over there. Someone get him away."
It was almost laughable that he thought that. Anyway just thought I'd add that.
