New College Hoops Show Starts on WFNZ Tonight!!!

Starting on Monday nights, there will be a new show called ABOVE THE RIM with Gary Williams & Matt Doherty from 7-9pm (this replaces MONDAY NIGHT COUNTDOWN for obvious reasons). They will discuss college hoops. Man, Gary doesn't get much rest during the week does he ? ? He has to do this show now and the BOBBY LUTZ show later on during the week. Why not get one of the B.O.C. guys to cohost the show with Matt and give Gary a break?

 

Sure they don't mean, "they will discuss ACC hoops???"

 

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, you do have a point . . . I didn't hear the show last night, so I'm not sure if they talked any 49er hoops or not. Did anybody listen to the show?

 

I heard part of the show and they did talk about the 49ers. Bobby even called in talked about how the bus didn't wait for them as they were late off the plane. One guy called in and asked about McCants, Matt said in a nice way he has to grow up. They did announcde that Gary and Matt are doing an ESPN regional game saturday night. Miami and Pitt I think.

 

I did catch part of it, and it impressed me much more than any coach shows I've seen in the past. Doherty was pretty loose and didn't seem afraid to make comments that could be somewhat controversal

 

Doherty was at Charlotte

Matt Doherty sat behind Davidson's bench at Charlotte. He is friends with their coach. It seems everywhere he goes......the team he is with looses.
Sucks to be him.
