Looking at the stat sheet this morning...

    1) Plavich: 3 of 13, ALL 3-point attempts
    2) Sager: 4 of 4, in under 11 minutes
    3) FTs: 14 of 21, why can't we make those gifts
    4) FGs: 39%, 30 of 77, the same % as last season, must be better
    5) Attendance: 5019, sure must have been a lot of people in the concession lines I didn't see!

The main thing about Curtis Nash, he didn't even sniff playing point guard. He looked like 2002 small forward, some minutes at shooting guard Nash.

Hate to give the coaching staff an "I told you so", but too bad.

not only does the basketball help our team, but hell, I spent 20 bucks at the consession stand last night buying $2.50 Pepsis for everyone. I thought we are so short on revenue, you would think another exibition game would help generate at least a few thousand to the bottom line.

Bobby wanted a traditional intrasquad contest open to the public this season. If we're going to do that, market it as such and have it as a part of the package and charge admission. He was adamant last night in the media room that he would not want to play a game against some team we could defeat by 50 in an exhibition though.

I'm not sure this team is capable of that, yet.

    Here are my game thoughts...

Demon looked like the same old Demon to me. Shaky ball handling, no penetration and poor shot selection. He is no point guard and the scout from the Vancouver Grizzlies sitting infront of me didnt think so either.

Pigford is going to be the best addition to this team. Whoever said that he shouldnt start over Withers was right...he should start over Basden.

Basden still cant shoot or finish around the basket.

Mitch is the best point guard we have. He is too quick on both sides of the ball to sit. I think coach finally is realizing this because late in the game he had Demon on the bench and had the ball in Mitches hands evertime. He impressed me.

Plav appears to be another Demon. Too many misses with nobody in his face. Shaky defense. Maybe I caught him on an off night, but I was less than impressed last night. I think we have 2 Demon's now.

We dont have to worry about Iti leaving in two years.

Clemmons has a lot of heart and knocked down some good shots but no other team will give him those 10' baseline jumpers. That guy was just too lazy to guard him.

The Grizzlies scout seemed very impressed with Pigford and Clemmons and was unimpressed by Demon and Iti.

    They moved back? :D

Agreed about the guards - I think Plavich had an off-night. Most of his shots either rolled around and off, or went in and out. 13 is too many attempts, though. GET PEOPLE INVOLVED!

Wow, another group who thinks they knows more and how to coach better than Lutz. Amazing that the world of basketball is missing all of these experts. Dick Vitale better watch out! Demon is NOT a pro prospect. Those are very special people and we have one every blue moon. Iti is a FRESHMAN! It was the first game, Plav will come back. He just didn't lose his touch overnight. The paranoia of our fans is second to none!

Insider, SHUT UP. We all respect the job Lutz and his staff does. This is a message board - we're SUPPOSED to vent and bitch and gripe and moan. If you don't like it, take your holier-than-thou bullshit elsewhere.

F-YOU! You sound like my 5 year old telling me to shut up! You are indeed a TOOL, sir! What do you mean holier than thou attitude? Again, you are a TOOL! You are why other schools laugh at our fans because we have this attitude that we are better than everyone else. My final word on it and you is TOOL!

Holy mackerel, I believe we've struck a chord.

No one here is trying to be Lutz, so you were wrong right off the bat right there. I think we all know he has the toughest job out there night in and night out. BUT, I think it's ok for us to disagree with him every once in awhile. When we bash him it's not because we want to "dump Lutz" as you said on the other board - we do it out of love for the program and because we want to see him and his team do well. I realize it was only an exhibition - I think people are simply pointing out what they see as potential issues, and THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. I realize that you are an "insider," and that that more than likely affects your bias in favor of the coach. Again, I can't fault that - but we are ALL entitled to our opinions and this is a place where we should all be allowed to speak up about them, whether or not they are popular.

Along those lines, my previous post was out of line and out of character with my typical types of posts, and I apologize.
