What?? The Yankees started all of this in game 2 by throwing at Ortiz. Soriano got beened in retaliation and Pedro hit Garcia on the back/bat to send a message. That is baseball. No Yankee fan can complain because no pitcher in the history of baseball, other than Drysdale, has intentionally hit more batters than Clemmons.

As for Zimmer, he got what he deserved. He charged at Pedro and tried to throw a sorry left hand at him. He got off easy because he should have been ejected. The replay CLEARLY showed that Pedro was standing still and Zimmer came at him. All Pedro did was throw him out of the way. I dont care how old he is, he has no business doing what he did...actually he has no business even being on anyones bench. He serves absolutely no purpose and is just a pity hire by Torre.

Furthermore, that incident in the Yankee bullpen was also bullshit. I had a buddy 10 rows from the scene and he called and said that it was a grounds crew guy involved and not a fan. Nelson gave him shit for trying to do his job and that is how it all started.

Karim Garcia is a fucking pussy. He had nothing but 60' between himself and Pedro but chose to just run his mouth instead of doing something about it. Then, like a pussy, he ran through second and put a late, hard slide on Walker. After being restained by half the Yankees, he finally became a tough guy and wanted to charge the mound. Typicaly pussy. Finally, he waited until a groundskeeper was being held on the ground before deciding to take a shot at him. He then proceeded to parade around with a towel on his hand like he had knocked out mike tyson. What a guy. Fuck him, fuck new york.

Nice try to put a spin on it to make the Redsox look like the good guys.

The fact is Pedro threw at Garcia after he gave up 2 runs and had an open base, and it wasn't just an inside pitch it was behind him towards his head. So fine it is part of baseball, I know Clemens does the same stuff. If throwing at batters is a part of baseball, so is taking out the 2nd basemen right? Not saying either are right, but it is a part of the game. Pedro lost his cool, which he was able to handle and he pitched amazing after that. It was some other Redsox players who couldn't control their emotions, like Manny, and after tearing up the Yanks he was pitiful after his ridiculous tantrum about a pitch that wasn't even close to him.

The Redsox lost their composure as a team and I truly think Manny's scene in the 4th inning will cost them any chance to win this series.

No doubt Pedro hit Garcia on purpose and it was because he had runners on 2nd and 3rd. He didnt have his best stuff and he had 1st base open so he drilled Garcia. What happened next? He retired the next nine batters before leaving and gave his team a legit chance to win the game. That is baseball.

Garcia running through 2nd to attack Todd Walker is being a pussy. He stood at home plate running his mouth at Pedro for 2 minutes after he was hit. Either go out there and do something about it or shut up and take first base. Take out slides are part of baseball, but his was ridiculous and he should have gone after Pedro if he had a problem.

Martinez and Clemmons are very similar. They both pitch inside and rely on intimidation to help get people out. That is the only thing I respect about Clemmons, he pitches inside and isnt afraid to drill someone if need be.

Pedro pointing to his head and telling Posada he would hit him there was just posturing. Pure intimidation. He wasnt going to try to kill him. Posada had hit Pedro hard and he wanted to get in his head a bit. What happened...Posada struck out and looked bad doing so in his next at bat.

Zimmer should have been ejected for attacking a player.

Well I had a buddy that was sitting in the second row, which is so much closer than the 10th row, and he told me that it all started because Bucky Dent phoned Pedro the previous inning and told him he'd hit his weak shit out of the park too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, PI, but if Garcia attacked Pedro on the mound, wouldn't that have started the riot and then Garcia would have been tossed for starting a fight? Unfortunately, that is baseball, too. And, then his own teammate would be hurt because Clemens would NOT have been able to throw inside at all. Take way that part of his game and you might as well take him out of the game. What good would that have done? Oh yes, that's right, you are a Red Sox fan. That might have done a lot of good.

Pedro is a softy who got hit hard and was facing a guy who raked a slider an inning before. He wanted to make a point and since he has unbelievable location (and stuff), it was obvious he hit him below the head on purpose. I know you wrote this already, but there is NO ONE in baseball who gets away with more crap than him. If he was a Yankee, I would never watch him pitch. He makes me sick with his better-than-thou attitude.

How about when Pedro attempted to try to break both Soriano's and Jeter's hands in New York earlier. He got them out in the first inning and still failed. Think he does any of this with a purpose? Yep. Just like taking a guy out at second is a purpose.

But, you missed the biggest "pussy" (I believe that and f-bomb are your words of the month) in all of this and that was Manny Ramirez. If that pitch was a foot lower, it would have been a strike. It cut the heart out of the plate.

Graduate: I sat with Bucky Dent. He said you heard it right.

Metro: What would you have done if a grounds keeper at Cincinnati or Memphis or Houston waved a rally flag in your bullpen when you were there? God, I would hate to see the results!

    several items real,
    can you say R-O-G-E-R? :D
Jeter and Soriano dive over the plate constantly, it is thier own fault they got hit. Those were great brush back pitches and are necessary if you want to retain your job. I understand your complaint about the Garcia bean ball, but you can't have it both ways, credit Pedro with properly thowing the brush back against Soriano and Jeter.
Manny Ramirez is an IDIOT. Grady doesnt care for his shit, trust me :)
good for the Yanks, that guy is a tool for doing that and unprofessional. He can cheer, but get out of "thier" office to do it.
