Here is an example of how classless Yankees fans are:

Roger Maris, back to back MVP seasons, gets a chair thrown at him in the outfield by a "fan".

Your friend is a moron for wearing that shit around Boston. IT sucks that people are like that, but hey, if you know they are, why walk into the lion's cage with a five pound steak strapped to your chest?

1st it wasn't my friend that got in the fight, 2nd I have tons of Yankee fan friends and when we win a playoff series versus any team we don't go beating up their or other team fans.

Yeah sure fights happen at the games or at bars, but this barbaric behavior that these Redsox fans displayed is common in the New England area. A friend of mine that went to UNH said when they beat Maine in hockey the students went and slashed the tires of, broke the windows of, or tried to flip any car that had Maine plates on it.

I or any fan should be able to wear his team's gear and not have to get beat up for it. Yes maybe words, but fighting??? It is childish and thats how many fans of Boston area teams behave, and I have encountered it on numerous occasions.

When you win act like you done it before...even though you have not.

Get over yourself. There is no place worse to be than yankee stadium in opposing team colors. I've been there and it is no picnic. I had a hundred wannabe mafia guidos yelling at me for three hours and I saw a scumbag new york fan punch a guy in the mens bathroom because he had on a red sox jersey. The guy had a kid with him who was less than 10 years old. Thats real classy.

Guess what Einstein, it happens EVERYWHERE. There are always a few idiots that give every city a black eye. You throwing a blanket statement over the entire New England region is ignorant. New England sports fans are known as the most knowledgable and classy as anywhere else.

So you're friends with the 20 million Yankee fans in the country? YOu and you're friends don't do it. I've never got into a fight with fan of an opposing team nor my friends or relatives, so that means you're lying.

I watched part of that Yankees "SportsCentury" last night. It brought back great memories to see the Kevin Mass-Mel Hall-Steve Sax era when YS had less than 10,000 at afternoon games. Even better was the late sixties, when Red Barber was fired because he counted the fans at one afternoon game. Yankees= bandwagon team from hell.

Actually the bandwagoners are Braves fans. In the last month I've talked to a Braves fan who thought Dale Murphy was a Busch series driver and another who asked if I knew that Marcus had a brother who played for the Pirates(Brian had been traded a month before).

These people think Ted Turner invented baseball in 1991.

Great game by Wakefield, it is going to be a good series, but I'm holding to my Yanks in 6.

As for Ed, if you think he is a guido, then you never have seen one before. He was way wrong, but you can't fault him, he's gotta say what he did, any loyal fan would of.

Hey PI, Yinzer is up in New York. He's from PIttsburgh as we all know, but he wants to know when to start slashing tires.

Hey REal, how about that brand new Red Sox hat that was thrown onto the field. Wonder if a fan had it on coming into the stadium? PI, remember when Jim Rice went into the stands to get his hat in the 80s? They weren't so tough when he had that look in his eyes.

How about that dipshit on his cellphone? (In best Vinnie Barbarino voice) "Hey yo, yeah I just slapped that ball, did you see me? what? They called it a home run and they might have called it foul?"

Why was Yankee Stadium the first ballpark to have its own police station? That place has as much class as summer vacation.

Thanks 2002. I prayed the 1991 NLCS Wakefield would show up last night, and he did.

Give me a break. Lying on national television doesnt make you a loyal fan it makes you look like an asshole.

Like that little loser Jeffry whatshisname, Big George will probably have him in the owners box next game.
