Something we can agree on there for sure. That would be a massive improvement.

That's the way I see it too.

jim, good to see you here. Hope things are going well for you. Hope you come around more often now that hoops season is warming up.

    wrong, wrong, wrong.

Every newspaper in the country has "agendas." For instance, nobody ever gave a rats ass about women's world cup soccer or the freakin WNBA Sting, yet the Observer saw fit to cover it time after time on the front page. Yes profits are important, but at a paper, pushing their agenda is #1. And unfortunately, the Observer does promote, not report the ACC, over the school in their own back yard. For the millionth time, go to any city with a college program as successful as the 49ers and you will see better hometown coverage.

2 facts: 1. Observer gives lousy coverage to the 49ers. 2. I'm a 49er and my pussy hurts.

HP, thanks, I've been hanging around for a good while.....you can count on "conversation" from me when basketball heats up.....regardless of how worthless my comments may be.

Good points Real. And this article wouldn't even be a slant towards the hometown Niners. It's the truth!!! Charlotte was the perfect place for Morrow's game. Too bad the Observer failed to point it out. Interesting read about his mom's involvement, though.

I've talked to Langston a few times and he does make statements in support of the Niners. He thinks we could have a great year and says Lutz is too good of a coach not to turn it around. Of course, he did know I was a fan.

Regardless, I think his opinion is changing. He has much more respect for us now than when Mcinnis, Burroughs, and Parker were coming through. The reason why this is important is that he is in the local loop. He knows the guys and their parents and has some enfluence on what guy's decide.

    lefty,
I find it incredlible that you feel it is necessary to become aligned with Langston Wertz because he will influence player's school choices. I hope you don't really think that.
