man does GLit have some balls or what? I was screaming at him when he did not walk the bases loaded in the ninth inning. With one out and the winning run on 2nd, putting a guy on first just gives you a force out ANYWHERE and sets up a double play and the runner doesn't even count as a run. Why he had Lowe pitch to them is curious. It worked though. I guess he was afraid to walk the bases loaded intentionally if fear of Lowe walking the tying or winning run in.

Hint to Athletic Dept: send some serious 49er gear to Fenway ASAP so Grady can sport it in some interviews.

I was also shocked Metro. With one out and a ground ball pitcher in the game it would seem to work against you to bring the infield in because anything that gets through the infield ends the game. With Lowe pitching it seemed like the perfect situation to load them up for a game ending DP.

He justified it in his post game by saying that they were only concerned with the tying run at third and also didnt want to face Durazo. Walking the bases full with one out would have probably brought him to the plate.

Lowe pitched his ass off in the ninth so now its on to slay the evil empire.

Any time I get in an argument with a Red Sox fan I feel like I am picking on a handicap kid or clubbing a baby seal. Hell, the OJ prosection team couldn't lose that argument.

Oh well, one more beat down should shut them up at least until pitchers and catchers report.

I don't want to ask a stupid question, but here it goes...

Why would Grady wear Charlotte gear? His association with the school was as a big-time buddy of Gary Robinson. Gary has pretty much dropped the school from his plans. His son played and is an absolutely great guy. Maybe we should send Eric the gear instead. He's our guy. I would love for him to support us whether he's on TV or not. I just Chris haney was still on the roster. Now, there's a guy who would enjoy the gear!

why would he wear it? the same reason my dad does. Pride in where your son played ball. Gary left voluntarily for other oppurtunities. I for one saw Grady at many baseball games long after Gary left. Yes send the gear to Eric. Eric will be in Boston or NY this week I am sure, and Eric does support us. Must you parse words?! :D

And thank god Gary dropped UNCC from his plans. The guy was a maniac.

Which stadium collapsed in the outfield a few seasons back and had to play a couple of months at Shea?

Why did Mickey Mantle let his son drink himself to death?

I still can't believe Lowe pulled that off last night in Alameda Coliseum. I had Calvin Schiraldi- redux.

It's difficult to chant "Jeter is waaaayyyy overpaid" or "Why not let Steve Howe back again?" or "Dwight Gooden for father of the year!!!!"

WE don't have a bunch of sellouts like Jason "the new Mr. May" Giambi. Remember his last season with the A's he's on the SI cover with tatoos exposed, greasy long hair, and a Kruk- like beard? The new baseball "rebel". Sold his soul to play for Microsoft.

Here is an example of how classless Boston Redsox fans are...

One of my friends goes to college in Boston area and the fans that "celebrated" did so by jumping a kid with a Jeter jersey on and putting him in the hospital, slashing tires of NY plate cars and burning Yankees gear.
