The New Look Heels!

If you actually read the article with the picture you dumbass, you will find that UNC has always had nice pictures of their players dressed up until the last few years when Doh was there. College kids will and always dress whatever is the latest mainstream for that age group. Not saying that I like what they were wearing in the photo, but it's what most of the kids are wearing. All of the kids came straight there from class or either working out, so it's not like they had an hour or two to get ready. That part I do blame on the school.

It's amazing that all of these thug kids had nice suits to wear. Where do you actually think those came from? I would imagine they each had them already. With the infamous Doh photo there is no way in hell UNC would take the chance for somebody to get them the suits.

 

UNC Charlotte has never done this since I've had any association with them and that goes back to the 1976 season. No photos until they participate. Now if you were a sportwriter doing a story they might provide you with such, but there won't be an official photo courtesy of the University until they are certified and playing. (It is a fine line privacy issue. The photos I take at the games can not be used for any commercial purpose and I have to give the athletic department the opportunity to use any photo they might choose.) There were photos of Iti on the internet from recruiting service sites.

And what were the respective records in that span? How many Final 4's did each make? Elite 8? Sweet Sixteen? Any Head to Head results?

Who supplies these guys with their suits for these pics? College kids on scholarship can't make but $2K a year in part-time summer work. I know an average guy can go pick up a rack suit for not too much, but these guys have to go to a tailor. This is true for all b-ball and football players.

Again not a UNC flame, just a hungover enduced question.

 

Nobody, that was my point all of these kids had nice suits. With UNC being watched so closely there is noway a booster or anybody else is going to take that chance. What, is UNC going to take the chance and go to a tailor and have a bunch of suits made for guys over 6ft tall?

The only other option I could even think would be that for the ones that don't have nice suits, then they get them from some rental company?

who knows. that was H.I.'s point. UNC has forever had kids on the bench in expensive suits. My guess is that someone greased their palms and told them to buy some nice threads. I am not ripping UNC CH here. There is alot of minor cheating going on in the NCAA such as this. If you do it properly and quietly, alot goes on behind closed doors. I know you "think" there is scruitiny, but it's not as tight as you think. As long as the violations aren't flagrant, they go under the radar. I personally don't have a problem with kids being given money to buy suits for road trips and pictures. If I am not mistaken, there are some loopholes for purchasing clothing for athletes if it is deemed necessary....like a coat and tie to travel in.
