I know we are in the middle of a good year right now but since the Smith thing has come up...

If I'm the Panthers I would spend my money this next offseason on keeping this team intact. Re-sign Smith, Moose and really any other FAs we might have and give this team time. The exception might be Dyson because I am starting to doubt he will ever stay healthy.

Build through the draft going with WR, G, T and OLB with first 4 picks.

    This would be nice:
    1) Fred Gibson WR Ga
    2) Vernon Carey or Max Starks
    3) M. Boulware, T. Lehman, Dont Thomas

If we do make a signing let get a good backup S with experience just in case Grant goes down.

I think this team is good enough to win a Super Bowl with time to gel.

I agree totally with everything that you said except I personally think that we need a quarterback for the future as well. Jake is doing a good job currently, however, I personally don't think that he is a long term answer.

Why not? He's only 28, very little wear and tear, I'm sure he's got some more tread left on his tires...

I like Delhomme a lot. He is part of the "lock up this team" signings for the offseason. He and Weinke form a nice QB rotation for the future. Delhomme is good enough, especially if you get more weapons around him.

He can make all the throws and even more importantly he is a leader. He needs to make better decision at times but that will come with experience. I like Delhomme and he can be/ IS the answer IMO.

Delhomme is great, but we still need a youngster waiting, learning. Weinke isn't very young (31-32) and Peete is DONE.
I'd be looking for a Mid to late round QB next year.

I would miss Holly, but it would be nice to have a young QB soaking up the system without being pressed into service. However I cannot see Weinke sticking around under those conditions. He'll ask to be traded. He can't wait around much longer. So maybe we can keep Holly.

I wouldnt be surprised to see peete trade in the clipboard for a headset and be a for real qb's coach at the end of the season.

Neither would I, and I'd be okay with that. Eventually, I'd like someone better, but at this point, Peete as a QB coach is better than no QB coach at all, IMO.
