Yes, we do. No. 1 right now -- not enough national college football coverage. People move here from all over and don't get the news on their conference they'd like. Not much I can do about that, either, without taking away from something else. And everybody has a different opinion about what they'd keep and what they'd cut.

Come on Yinzer, its already 3 whole pages.

Maybe if most of the sports section wasnt devoted to NASCAR and topless bars you could squeeze in some more college football.

I have a question for Mike P. Is it really necessary to give the Panthers front page coverage after a win? Even a win over the Vickless Falcons got front page coverage. Now I'm a Panthers fan and go to games reguarly but seriously, it's the beginning of the season. It's not like they have done anything outstanding. Now if it's towards the end of the season and the Panthers are on the verge of the playoffs then I can understand it but this early??? Aren't there more important things going on that are more worthy of front page coverage than the Panthers?

Not necessary, but in a war-torn world, any little bit of happiness is something to celebrate. And the Panthers and NFL are consistently our highest interest item in reader surveys. It's not close. They sell a ton of papers, especially in single-copy.

Ok, I've got to jump in. As far as Mike being on our message boards, I'm glad he's here. He cares about his paper and the readers. He also is clearly interested in our program.

Now, Mike....when those idiots from up North and the Midwest start questioning your coverage of Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan....do you ASK THEM what city they live in???????

CHARLOTTE!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell them to go back where they came from if they don't like it. :xyzwave:  :hasta: :apfbbt:

Damn...that other board needs to come back up soon. :D

I'm with you lefty, I'm glad Mike P comes on the board.

But, about that survey, has anyone on this board ever been surveyed by the big O?
