Dulcea's pick: RAIDERS Let me put it this way- never has there been a fan base more in need Lithium to control their emotional peaks and valleys. When they win- it's"we're going to the Superbowl...go raiders!" Then they get in your face. But when they lose it's- the refs beat us we suck, we're not going anywhere. Lol... And did you know the Raider fans actually take
pride in kicking the crap out of any fan that tries to represent?
This should sum up the pre-season game I had the pleasure of seeing: Coliseum,1986, Bear Fan, Raiders Fan, Bear blood.
    Enough said.

Tell me what fans are the dumbest and why.

    i'd like to say...

    J-E-T-S

but at least they know how to spell the name.

Hmm, if based on behavior at local sports bars, I'd then have to say, Browns fans. You wouldn't believe how much joy I took in watching mis Osos (Bears) rally to beat them 2 seasons ago at Fox N Hound.

Thruout the game, all they said was, You suck. We're No. 1 and all those cliches.

Guess who got the last laugh?

    Steeler fans now...

They had some great teams in the far past, but for fans to truly believe a guy like Kordell Stewart and now Tommy Maddox will lead a team to the SB is all in itself dumb.

It takes more than a qb to go all the way. (ie Trent Dilfer)

I wouldn't call any fan dumb. They have their faith just like you have yours. Of course some are more unrealistic than others. As for me:

Probably the Bengal's fans. Ever since Paul Brown turned over the club to his son, a lawyer, the Bengals have really sucked!

The Bengals are located in Hamilton County, and their fans approved a new stadium a few years ago, the bed pan on the river, that had an extremely high cost overrun.

All the current owner cares about is making money and screwing the fans over, and they still keep buying tickets.

This year a new coach was brought in and enthusiam is running high. I believe that quality and commitment starts at the top, which means that the Bengals still don't have a chance.

I got to believe that Shinn/Wooldridge learned their trade by studying this franchise.

oh puh-lease!!! There is always going to be a few bad apples in any fan base. You should not judge a group of people because some behave badly. Shame on you.

I would say Panthers' fans. Where else in the NFL do the stands fill with visiting teams' colors when the Panthers are having a disappointing season?

Actually, we've spent the last few years trying to win the Super Bowl IN SPITE of our QB situation.

But since we're assuming things... if you think we believe we are going anywhere near the SB because of our QB, I'd stop throwing around the word dumb. You need to keep that one for yourself.

The fact that fans would say the Steelers are going to win the SB in years when Kordell is at the helm and actually believe it is what I am saying is dumb. The arrogance of the majority of Steelers' fans I have been in contact with contributes to this idea as well.

Trent Dilfer is always used when this comes up, but he played mistake free most of that season, which is something Kordell could never do. Now Tommy Maddox, he may be able to pull a Dilfer.

Well, again, I'd say we "hoped" to win. Not thought we were "going" to win. ALL the Steeler fans I knew hoped for better from Kordell, but we pretty much knew we weren't going to get it. If we did, it was gravy. Looks to me like you've been hanging with some "homer" Steeler fans. Same thing happens here at TBR. If you ask me, I think some folks are WAY optimistic as to the Panthers' chances this year. I don't think they are dumb though. I think they see the good. To hell with the bad.

As for the Steelers - last year was weird. We finally get the QB thing straightened out - but then we couldn't stop the pass. And for all I know, Maddox could go back to being the same trash heap guy he was before he came in and looked like gold for us.

Kordell shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Dilfer. I think a lot higher of Dilfer than most folks around here.
