Highpoint I respect you a great deal, but you totally missed my point.

If I cared to search past threads? I would think when I say in my original post, "TBR impresses me with the way it's members pull together. " it would be pretty clear I'm already aware what TBR does during times of trials for people.

Let me make it perfectly clear, TBR, it's members nor it's actions were the subject of my post nor was I under the impression that they were the subject of urban's. The subject was the posting of a very personal issue on the board without the knowledge of the person whom it deals with. When I read Urban's post, that's the impression I got.

Your response is nothing I disagree with, it just has nothing to do with what I posted originally.

 

that is retarded retoric... so the families of 9/11 are pissed because we morned their losses??? if that family were to somehow discover this board existed today they would probably join solely to thank all the well wishers... what sick is that anyone would even bring question to it... had we degraded or bad mouthed any person or even made fun of the sickness angle in any way it'd be wrong and I'd stand to have it stopped... this is a child... and if you have ANY religion you know that in time of crisis all of the village comes together to support the life of a child... its is doctrine in Christianity, Muslim, and Jewish cultures... we are simply offering well wishes... personally I've never met the man... but if he were here standing next to me I'd tell him face to face that he's in my prayers and I'd ask him what I could do to help... anything less would make me an AWFUL AWFUL person... which is what those who are attempting to badmouth the well wishes of others are appearing to be... but you know what Urban I think I truly do understand... because apparently YOU need my prayers as well... apparently you need to look into your heart and find what went wrong... I truly pray you and anyone else that feels the way you do regarding this are touched and can see what it is you're doing.

 

No you don't, but it seems to me it would be a good idea to make sure they don't mind their personal lives being plastered on a messageboard that's all.

If you say they don't, fine, I don't know them. I'm just responding to the impression I got from Urban's post which was not to bash TBR or wishing well of others, but putting personal things of other's on messageboards without their knowledge.

In the end the important thing is that the kid gets better and soon.

Gee, I'm sure Jerry's kids and any other human being in need don't want to be near Urban and SayHey's home. So it's wrong for us to talk about anyone unless they're a registered TBR member or have signed the necessary release forms? I suppose LarryD willl have to say we can't mention any one with concerns here now.

Sorry for being smartassed SayHey but that's how I feel about this. Just maybe our prayers might have had something to do with him getting better...

I'm prone to error on the side of caution and when dealing with things of a personal nature, especially sickness, and posting them on a public forum like a messageboard it's good that the people know it's going up.

You clearly think different, that's cool.

 

For the love of God people are you just itching for a fight? Here's an idea, calm the hell down and read what I said.

Prayers are great, positive thoughts are great. Everything that TBR doesn for those in need is great! I NEVER DAMN SAID THEY WEREN'T!!!

My point, from the beginning, is that if one is going to post something that personal on a public messageboard it would be good that the parents know. That's it. If you know them well enough and know they won't mind, go for it. I'm just relaying the impression I got from Urban's post was that wasn't the case, that's it.

That's all I'll say about it.

 

I edited my quote of what urban said, because he deleted the comments that pissed me off. But what made me create this thread was the last line - where he posted somthing like

"oh yeah and metro you are an ass."

That was out of line and made it plain that urban was using this post in a manner that was totally just to get in a jibe at metro. It is also the reason that I created this thread insted of posting it in the thread about the child.
